Join Nicolas Lampert, Paul Kjelland, and Meredith Stern of the artist cooperative Justseeds for a discussion of the role of art and artists in the struggle for educational justice.  Meredith Stern is a printmaker and ceramicist based in Providence whose work include a 32 print series of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  Paul Kjelland and Nicolas Lampert are Milwaukee-based artist-members of Art Build Workers, a collaborative of artists, designers, photographers and educators who work locally and travel around the country organizing multi-day art builds that help unions, organizations and movements amplify their messages through visual art, media, and archiving.

WORKSHOP: Creating Art for Social Movements

Join us for a hands-on workshop led by Milwaukee-based artist-activists Paul Kjelland and Nicolas Lampert.  Together, the two will demonstrate techniques developed for large-scale Art Build projects in communities around the country.  Participants will have the opportunity to create screen-printed pickets, posters, and other items designed to amplify demands for social change.
